At $350 for the pair of you, it's a sweet deal for a private charter. Plus, if plans change, you can cancel up to 3 days before without losing a dime. Reel in the Big Ones: 4-Hour Inshore Adventure

Get ready to experience some of the best inshore fishing around on this action-packed 4-hour private charter. We'll hit all the local hotspots - from winding rivers and shallow flats to nearshore honey holes - giving you a shot at landing trophy redfish, speckled trout, snook, and more. With our expert guides and top-notch gear, even novice anglers have a great chance of hooking into something special. So grab a buddy and let's get out on the water!

What to Expect on the Water

Our 4-hour inshore trip kicks off at 10 AM sharp, giving us prime time on the water when the fish are most active. We'll cruise to a variety of productive spots, switching up techniques to match the conditions and target species. One minute you might be sight-casting to tailing reds in skinny water, the next you could be working a deep channel for monster snook. With river, inshore, nearshore, flats, and backcountry all on the menu, we've got options to put you on the fish no matter what Mother Nature throws our way. And since it's a private charter for two, we can tailor the experience to your skill level and preferences.

Techniques That Fill the Box

We use a mix of light tackle, heavy tackle, and trolling to maximize our chances of success. Light tackle is perfect for finesse fishing the flats and mangroves, where a subtle presentation is key. When targeting bigger game like bull reds or cobia, we'll break out the heavier gear to muscle those bruisers away from structure. And trolling lets us cover water efficiently, great for locating schools of trout or mackerel. Don't worry if you're new to these methods - our guides are patient teachers and will have you casting like a pro in no time. We provide all the quality rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need, just bring a valid fishing license and you're good to go.

Species You'll Want to Hook

Redfish: The bulldogs of the flats, redfish will test your drag and your stamina. These copper-colored beauties love to hang around oyster bars and grass flats, often revealing their location with a tell-tale tail waving above the surface. Fall is prime time for big bulls, but you can catch quality reds year-round. There's nothing quite like the thump of a red inhaling your bait, followed by a blistering run that'll have you praying your knots hold.

Speckled Trout: AKA spotted seatrout, these tasty gamefish are a staple of inshore fishing. They're suckers for live shrimp or artificial lures worked over grass flats and dropoffs. While most run in the 1-3 pound range, gator trout pushing 5+ pounds are always a possibility. The best part? Where there's one trout, there's usually a whole school, so doubles are common once you find the honey hole.

Snook: The wily snook is prized for both its fighting ability and its elusive nature. These ambush predators love to lurk around mangrove shorelines, bridge pilings, and any structure that offers them cover. Hooking one is only half the battle - their gill plates are razor-sharp, and they're experts at cutting leaders on nearby obstructions. But land a big snook, and you'll be grinning from ear to ear. They're catch-and-release only in many areas, but the photo op is worth it.

Sheepshead: Don't let their goofy teeth fool you, sheepshead are crafty adversaries. These striped battlers hang around barnacle-encrusted pilings and rock piles, using their chompers to crush crabs and other crustaceans. Light tackle and a deft touch are key to feeling their subtle bites. While they may not make blistering runs, sheepshead fight all the way to the boat and make excellent table fare.

Cobia: The jokers of the inshore world, cobia are known for their curiosity and willingness to investigate just about anything in the water - including your boat! These brown bombers can grow to impressive sizes, with 30+ pounders not uncommon. They often show up near channel markers, buoys, or floating debris. Toss a live bait or a large jig their way, and hold on tight. Cobia are famous for making several powerful runs before coming to the boat.

Time to Book Your Spot

Whether you're a seasoned angler looking to tangle with some trophy fish or a first-timer wanting to learn the ropes, our 4-hour inshore trip has something for everyone. At just $350 for two people, it's an incredible value for a private charter experience. And with free cancellation up to 3 days before your trip, you can book with confidence. Spaces fill up fast, especially during peak seasons, so don't miss out on your chance to create some lasting fishing memories. Check our availability calendar and lock in your adventure today. Trust me, that work email can wait - the fish are calling!

Learn more about the species

Cobia

Cobia are those odd-looking fish that often get mistaken for sharks. They average 20-40 pounds but can top 100 pounds. You'll find them hanging around buoys, wrecks, and other structure in 30-70 feet of water. Spring and early summer are best as cobia migrate along the coast. Anglers love 'em for their hard-fighting nature and excellent eating quality. To target cobia, cruise slowly and look for fish near the surface, then cast big jigs or live eels. My top tip: Always keep a heavy rod rigged and ready - when you spot a cobia, you often only get one shot before they sound. These fish will test your gear and your arms!

Cobia

Redfish

Redfish are the bulldogs of the flats - stocky and powerful fighters that'll test your drag. Most "slot reds" run 3-8 pounds, but bulls over 20 pounds aren't uncommon. You'll find them tailing in shallow water or cruising the edges of oyster bars and grass flats. Fall is prime time as reds school up to spawn. Anglers can't get enough of their tough fights and excellent table fare. To hook up, try sight-casting with a gold spoon or scented soft plastic to cruising fish. My favorite trick is looking for "pushes" - V-shaped wakes made by feeding reds in shallow water. Cast well ahead and hang on tight!

Redfish

Sea Trout

Sea trout, or specks as we call 'em, are bread-and-butter inshore gamefish. Most run 1-3 pounds, with gator trout over 5 pounds possible. You'll find them over grass flats, around oyster bars, and in deeper holes of coastal bays and rivers. They feed actively year-round but really turn on in fall as water temps cool. Anglers love specks for their aggressive strikes and delicate white meat. To get in on the action, try working a soft plastic under a popping cork over grass flats, especially early and late in the day. My top tip: Listen for that telltale "pop" as trout attack bait on the surface - that's your cue to cast nearby.

Sea Trout

Sheepshead

Sheepshead are those funky-looking fish with human-like teeth and black prison stripes. Most run 1-5 pounds, but big ones can hit 10-15 pounds. You'll find them around anything with barnacles - pilings, jetties, reefs. They're masters at stealing bait, so you gotta be quick on the hookset. Winter and early spring are prime seasons when sheepshead school up to spawn. Anglers dig 'em for the tasty white meat and the challenge of hooking their tough mouths. My go-to rig is a small hook with a piece of shrimp or fiddler crab, fished right up against structure. Scrape some barnacles off a piling to get them fired up. Just watch those teeth when you're unhooking 'em!

Sheepshead

Snook

Snook are one of the trickiest inshore species to target, but that's what makes them so fun. These sleek predators usually run 1-3 feet long and put up an acrobatic fight when hooked. You'll find them lurking around mangroves, docks, and other structure in shallow coastal waters. Spring and fall are prime seasons as snook move between inshore and offshore habitats. Anglers love snook for their challenging nature and excellent table fare. To up your odds, try working a soft plastic jerk bait or live bait like pinfish along mangrove shorelines during low light hours. Just be ready for explosive strikes and powerful runs - snook are known for busting anglers off in the roots. Remember to check local regulations, as snook are carefully managed in many areas.
